The College of Humanities and Sciences at Ajman University celebrated a group of distinguished researchers and leaders from the college’s faculty members who provided great administrative services to the college and the university in a ceremony attended by Dr. Karim Seghir, AU Chancellor, Dr. Khaled Al-Saleh, AU Vice Chancellor for academic affairs, and Dr. Kamran Arshad, Dean of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research.
During the ceremony, the university chancellor delivered a speech in which he stressed the importance of scientific research in university world rankings, stressed the role of faculty members and their contribution to the development of the university, and thanked the faculty members who held administrative positions and had distinguished achievements during their career in the university in general, and in college in particular.
Prof. Dr. Shaher al-Momani, Dean of the College of Humanities and Sciences, gave a detailed presentation in which he explained the progress of the college in the field of scientific research and its role in raising the university's ranking globally. He explained by numbers that 30% of the research carried out at the university was accomplished by in the Humanities faculty members. He also reviewed a future plan that includes more qualitative research during the current year.
At the end of the ceremony, the faculty distinguished researchers and administrative leaders were honored with certificates and trophies. Professors honored for the distinguished research category are: Dr. Samir Bashir Hadid, Dr. Moez Dawi, Mr Samer Hosni Zayoud, Dr. Muhammad Al-Majzoub Al-Taher, Dr. Atef Fayez Abdul Qadir, Dr. Najih Rajeh Al-Salihi, D. Sami Suleiman Al-Qatawneh, Dr. Najwa Babiker Youssef, D. Rasha Abdullah, Dr. Dalia Ahmed Bedewi, Ms Al-Rawashdeh era, D. The Najah Ibrahim Al-Ramahi, D. Alaa Zuhair Al-Rawashdeh, and D. Asmaa Al Arab. The faculty members who provided great services in previous years were also honored: Prof. Dr. Sheikh Ould Hammoud, Prof. Saeed Nassef, and Dr. Mazen Jaradat.
