Ajman University Students Bag Two Int’l Excellence Awards

Pharmacy students in Ajman University (AU) have stolen the show at the 25th Dubai International Conference and Exhibition for Pharmacy and Technology (DUPHAT), and bagged two excellence awards.

The leading event in MENA region, February 25 - 27, witnessed a stiff competition from hundreds of young researchers from several colleges of pharmacy nationwide and abroad.

Students Yassin Al Hanafi and Rania Awad won the eighth best outstanding poster presentation under the supervision of Dr. Akram Ashames, Dr. Manal Buabeid and Dr. Subish Palaian.

Their exceptional investigational study to evaluate the predictors for self-medication among public in the United Arab Emirates have dazzled the arbitration committee.

Student Layal Mamdouh seized the eighth best pharmacy student innovative poster award for her project: “Knowledge and Perception of Pharmacy Students on Generic Medicine in UAE”.

He project was done under the supervision lecturer Yassin Al-Hariri, lecturer Sundos Qassim and research assistant Fatima Boura.
