As part of Ajman University's Winter Study Tour programme, visiting international students participated in a meaningful mangrove planting activity, contributing to the emirate's ongoing efforts to combat climate change. Each student had the opportunity to plant their own mangrove tree, gaining hands-on experience in environmental conservation while learning about the vital role mangroves play in carbon sequestration, coastal protection, and biodiversity preservation. The activity also introduced students to Ajman's commitment to sustainability and its initiatives aimed at building a greener future for the region. Beyond the environmental impact, the experience offered students a unique way to leave a lasting mark on their host city and connect with the local community's vision for a more sustainable tomorrow. This initiative reflects Ajman University's dedication to integrating global awareness and environmental responsibility into its international programmes, ensuring that students return home not only with academic knowledge but also with a deeper appreciation for climate action.
